Hello /sci/,
I am in need of very specific information.
Help from astronomers would be greatly appreciated.
I need a map that could be used to pinpoint Earth's location, relative to enough major landmarks that I, as an observer could find Earth, from up to 7 billion light years away in any direction.
Is there a very easy way to do this? What objects in space would be my best anchor points to make this map?
Basically, assume I am an astronaut stranded on a ship within a 7 billion light year radius of Earth, and I could get back to Earth with my very nice ship/hibernation etc... whatever...
I just need to know how to find it, so I know where to point my ship, before I take the long nap, you dig?
