Dont trust anyone that teaches at prestigious universities, but trust those that went to them as undergrads. Most of the profs are retard nepotists that achieved their status through knowing others. Same goes for awards or anything like that.

That's just how academia works, anon. My last publication didn't get nearly the scrutiny it needed; I intentionally submitted a version which had errors to see if they would be caught. They were ignored or unnoticed because my advisor is respected.

You click on the mine ore and the new ideas come up. Then you write a paper describing what you did and you get tenure. That is why it is nepotism. Anyone could do it.
