what's your set up like? I haven't attempted any photos myself. I've got a good sized scope and clear skies, but I opted for a bigger aperture instead of the goto mount. Great for viewing, but I kind of regret it as I'd like to show people what they could expect to see.

Apples and oranges. You were at a dark-sky site with a very wide field of view. My shot is a little rectangle bottom-right in yours, and I'm under Bortle 7 skies on good nights.

I'd recommend resizing your image so the trails aren't noticeable. There comes an image size where you're basically just magnifying the error.
