Yes, I dated someone for awhile who was, and it was wonderful. Not only does it keep things interesting, it’s a hell of an ego boost when you realize that someone that intelligent finds you captivating enough to keep around.

It also helps you contextualize your own strengths in comparison. For instance, in my case, she was a much better mathematician and student in general, but often felt insecure due to my ability to call up obscure information and articulate complex thoughts in a clear manner to others. Before knowing her, I never would’ve put myself on her intellectual level, but afterwards, it helped me lean into the things I excelled at in comparison.
