Despite this illusion of being bourgeoisie their seemingly stable jobs will be rendered superfluous as technology progresses and people who live in cities will either need to move to less developed areas or become integrated with the technology sectors. The movement of capitalism essentially forces people into more mechanical/qualitative roles, i.e. Scientific/Technological/Mathematical fields.

What I am asking for is any information/studies which prove the possibility of creating an interest in something that you are not 'intrinsically' drawn towards. Psychologically manipulating yourself, neurologically reordering your synaptic connections, etc.
