I used to want to make video games, and I ~7 stories fully fleshed out. I still have a few ideas (and two in particular), but I no longer have the tech to do so, and don't play games either. I don't just want to reform and gradually change the medical-chemical complex, I want to wipe it off the face of the Earth. Magnetic field-based therapies for malaria would be a strong start....

No. That's just a source of calories. Even if you only ate meat you wouldn't be built like that without intense workouts. I think the reason for their muscle is either low myostatin, and/or high follistatin levels.

I wouldn't say the genes are known, since no tests have been done on gorillas or chimps to confirm this, but these chemicals and associated genes have been observed to increase and decrease muscle mass in humans and other animals.

As for bone thickness, I haven't found anything relating to that. I found stuff on bone density, but that's not really the same thing.
