Temperature and weather extremes become more common and more extreme, some places become too wet, others become too dry, some species can't adapt quickly enough and will die off, others will migrate or expand and cause problems for other species. There is a real economic cost to climate change and a few scenarios that would irrevocably alter civilization. My biggest concern is the extinction of the bees because they've taken quite a few hits recently and without them crops would need to be hand pollinated, which is impractical at best.
