Want to know why we hasn't heard from Aliens?

Because when a civilization reaches good enough VR there is no reason to spend years traveling from planet to planet.

Why spend years in hypernation just to travel to some planet were you can't even communicate back? Where is the fun in that?

When VR becomes good enough the species need to way to sustain these VR machines. They use more power and increases the simulation hardware so often that they need the power of a dyson sphere to keep it running

Then they have programmed AI robots to make sure everything is running perfectly meanwhile they enjoy their VR simulations

Why have poverty, wars, struggle when everyone can be their own master in their own VR world.

VR is the reason why species don't become interstellar.
