Beyond that spend a lot of effort in your GE classes trying out new learning, retention, and integration strategies. Keep track of which models of learning work best for different types of information.
For me it was like:
Lists, memory palace
Large amounts of knowledge that doesn't connect well with my current knowledge base, method of loci
Adding connected knowledge, method of loci to orient then developing and solving problems based on both knowledge bases
etc.
Always remember that how much effort it takes to write/record your information scales with how well you retain it. Unironically my dysgraphia came in handy when I realized that because of how hard it is for me to write I can just write stuff out like someone else normally would and it sticks in my brain really well.
With a good grounding in the philosophic thought processes you will use for executive decision making your path through undergrad will be easier. With a good grounding in pedagogy you will be able to tackle any sort of class you are given with zeal.
