anyone here with some experience in org chem?
i have a acetic anhydride and a morphine free base. i've been daily using AA to acetylate morphine in order to obatin diacetylmorphine [spoiler:lit]ie heroin[/spoiler:lit] but instead of the powder, the reaction yields a product rather similar to a black tar heroin, ie gooey dark brown substance.
i read that bth [spoiler:lit]and therefore the shit i make[/spoiler:lit] has this consistency and qualities because it is made without a reflux apparatus
now is this truth or some stupid bulshit? is this the only reason the the yield obtained by me differs from powder heroin, or are there other major factors at play here?
i reckon that healthwise I am still in a better spot than those fucking junkies shooting up heroin bought from some racially challenged, sketchy fellows. street heroin is considered pure when it's 20% clean and that shit just won't do for a white man of a good moral character who strives to do things the right way even when it's doing drugs because he's addicted but you do have to remember that addiction is not a choice but an illness at least as long as we're talking about white men of good moral standing in other cases it is a choice and junkies are a literal subhuman trash.
