>>11725204I don't hate Boing! for the meme value though, I legitimately think their company has fallen into severe disrepair due to unacceptably bad management by non-engineer fucking normie suits who only think about sucking off their investors. It's great for short term gains that you can take with you when you collapse the company and leave with your golden parachute, but it isn't a viable long term business strategy and never has been. I don't give a fuck about Boing's pedigree if all they do right now in the moment is fuck up left and right.
Can't get their capsule that costs more than some space programs to fucking work right because it's coded like shit just like their plane that auto-crashes itself, can't put together a viable lander to submit, rocket program keeps getting delayed and overfunded in a way that sure does look like a heeb company shilling for pork money.
SpaceX by comparison looks pretty fucking good right now, fast and aggressive strategy which at least makes use of failures instead of using failures to justify more pork and slower schedules, fast design iteration, if the weather holds out they'll be sending humans to space more than a year before Boing! even scrapes it's capsule back onto the launch pad for yet another unmanned test. They're slapping together a novel heavy launch vehicle prototype that may outmode their own current rockets simultaneously, successfully submitted a version of it as a moon lander, and are regularly launching a shitload of commercial satellites.
