I am reading Michael Spivak's "Calculus" book. It's got a very rigourous approach, and I'm trying to finish all the exercises but I'm finding some of the problems really difficult. Am I being filtered?

Spivak is an introductory Analysis book, you should stick to it because Calculus by itself is a useless thing, while Analysis is a useful tool for solving real world problems.

high school calculus is easy, it's just arbitrary rules applied on generic questions. I want a more formal take on calculus to further my understanding.

So get things straight with me.
Assume I did Spivak from cover to cover. I am planning to go through extensions on analysis ie fourier, complex, measures and some functional. Most people recommend baby rudin before that but given the spivak should i really do full rudin? A lot of it is overlapping. Is perspective gained from this book or equivalents important over long run?
