In yours, the left image looks like a correct launch, but with a low-impulse orbit modification.
Of course it would not necessarily be in a single maneuver like my pic, there could be an initial eliptical orbit and a circularization at apoapsis, but in any case it is usually done in discrete, relatively short burns, and not continuously.
