If there was a theoretical world war what technologies would you think would improve the most? I've been pondering this question for the past few days and just want to see if I can get some more ideas. Here is what I personally think would improve:
- encryption: it would probably start with improving our current forms of encryption while looking for alternatives as decryption tech, such as quantum computing (if it was proven viable which is up in the air anyway) comes into use.
- quantum computer: I know it's over hyped but I can definitely see an increase of funding being directed in its direction. Cracking complex encryption would be invaluable for breaking enemy economies and message decryption.
- battery density: creating and increasing capacity of batteries would be vital in order to keep drones and whatnot in the air. Inbuild solar cells would allow for self-charging but I could still expect batteries to improve significantly.
- renewable energy: getting oils from third parties would either be impossible or unsafe. It would be infinitely more reasonable to create more effective solar tech. I can also see hydropower such as dams going out because they're too big a target and also take forever to assemble.
These are just my stupid thought on the matter. I'm not well versed in enough relevant fields to know any major improvements what could happen. They may be all wrong and you may disagree with everything I say. I'm also sorry if this is super unoriginal. Have a good day!
