But more specifically the top is wrong because of the subscripts, 1/3+1/3 doesn't fucking equal 2/6. Without the subscripts it's ambiguous so both are right depending if you interpret the left side as two fractions or two groups

Literally just use different axioms.

Define '/', not as division, but as a separate entry in a 2x1 matrix

The way you are adding these doesnt make sense. If I added 1/3 of the water in a bucket to another bucket, I wouldnt add the actual literal bucket in their as well. It 1 red ball in 3 balls. You add that together and you get 2 red balls in 3 balls.
If you add 2 blue balls to 2 blue balls amd then add 1 red ball to one red ball and divided by the total number of balls, yeah, 1/3 of your balls would still be red and 2/3 would still be blue. Thats called multiplication. You took your first groups of balls and multiplied them by 2 on the top and bottom. You specifically retained the ratio be equally increasing the top and bottom.
