>>11714433It was about taking final state observables from particle collisions and implementing the numerical integration code to evaluate the probabilities of their values indicating particular particle jet distributions, as well as carrying out some variable transformations on a relevant function to remove it's integrate singularities so it could be evaluated with Monte Carlo. A lot of it was focused on the code implementation, but I still had to explain all the physical background too, most of which involved my professor telling me 'this is too complicated for an undergrad to understand'.
He just replied to me telling him I submitted it with 'in retrospect this was probably a bit over the top for an undergrad', but considering I've got through it anyway I'm taking that as a good thing.
