I feel like some of you people are going batshit crazy over a simple question.
I'm an engineer and really haven't studied much of medicine or biology so I'd love the perspective of someone with a background that can speak to this.
I love vaccines, vaccines are one of the greatest discoveries/inventions of our civilization.
I can design missiles, I can design countermeasure systems, I can design rockets, I can design all sorts of things. If I'm taking my time, go through the steps, have my work work reviewed, I can build weapons of war our ancestors could only dream of.
If I'm rushed, I don't check my work, I don't go through the proper testing, reviews, blah blah blah, and just pop a missile on a jet it could work, it could just not work, it could just blow the fuck up.
The concern is what are the risks and potential consequences of rushing a vaccine that fails? I'm going to get it one way or the other. It's hard to get this kind of information because simply asking the question will result in either a dumpster fire of bullshit from retarded anti-vaxers or you get shit on because people think you are one yourself.
Just a curiosity about a field I know very little about.
