the irony here is that we're no longer in a world in which we will be witnessing miraculous paradigm-shifting breakthroughs from lonely geniuses as it used to happen in the previous centuries. nowadays everything is a result of collaborative work from groups of many scientists, so your "name" is pretty much "diluted" in a sea of hundreds of names and when you have prizes awarded they usually tend to be given to the groups research coordinators.
