I do think plugging terminals into the hippocampus could allow for the transfer of consciousness into mechanical hardware. Just simply have the consciousness put into a stable drive that could later be put into a fully mechanical body.

Yes, as a matter of fact this page went to mostly porn in the past... BUT, I do believe that even if most of it might be porn, not ALL of it is actually. Also even among the people posting porn, I guess at least some of them might have something interesting to say. Because, well, you could be into porn and ALSO be interested into higher questions of the universe :) I don't think that is incompatible.
