4: [2 - sin 4a * cot 2a] / sin 4a = tan 2a is equivalent to 2 / [2 sin 2a cos 2a] - cot 2a = tan 2a which is [cos^2 2a + sin^2 2a] / [ sin 2a cos 2a] = sin 2a / cos 2a + cos 2a / sin 2a which is true.

3. Plug in 10 different random integers on your calculator and since they all are zero conclusion is the expression is zero because integers arent divisible by pi and there are only sinusoids together with +-×÷. Don't know the theorem but it's pretty fucking obvious.

Did you forget how to do composite sin and cos?

sin(a±b) = sin(a)cos(b)±sin(b)cos(a)
cos(a±b)=cos(a)cos(b)?sin(a)sin(b)

It also helps if you know that it repeats every 360º, so cos615º = cos255º, tg480º=tg120º, and so on...

More techniques involve noticing that sin and cos can be interchanged if you sum/subtract Pi/2 to them. But it is a particular case of the previous composite angles.
