>>11711528Russia will collapse along with the rest of the oil industry in the next 10-30 years and their rocket scientists will make icbms for whatever antagonistic shithole hasn‘t been turned into glass by that point. Actually Russian spaceflight itself is already on the ropes now even without Russia as a whole crumbling. Corruption has crippled their future projects and now SpaceX is eating their lunch.
I wish Europe would get its head out of its ass.
But Germany has grown fat and lazy in its midst, brits are punching out and most of the mediteranian and balkans seem to only be interested in how much money they can siphon while still blaming the EU for all their problems.
I don‘t see a way that anyone could put a space plan forward and then actually go on to get it consistent funding. I dunno. Maybe they will succeed in making a Falcon 9 clone for 10 times the development budget by pooling 20 years of shoestring budget. Who knows. Doesn‘t matter. Won‘t get us off of this rock.
I guess China might just keep brute forcing big space achievements with its basic hypergolics by simply continuing to throw money at it. We‘ll see if they‘ll manage to steal a more worthwhile propulsion method from somewhere eventually. Maybe they‘ll steal reusability too.
Blue Origin is impossible to predict right now. We‘ll see once they actually reached orbit and stuck a landing again. Could be huge. But as slow as they are moving, it‘s hard to believe it would amount to much in the grand scheme of things.
