I want to apply to grad school in Mech E. My grades are excellent. I have some research experience, but it's pretty mediocre.

Should I delay graduation for a semester and do some more research, in hopes to getting into a top program? I hate the thought of being a super senior though.

Or should I just graduate and get into only a decent program?

Any advice appreciated. Not trans btw.
