If thats the truth then we might as well just mass suicide. Society won't function if everyone ends up with permanent lung/heart damage, and nor can we just lock down for 2 years until the vaccine (which might not even come) because that will also result in the total collapse of human civilization. It's something I'd love to see explored at some point. There must be some socio-economic reason why boomers are this willing to destroy their grandchildren's generation. Corona isn't the first example for the boomers inability to let go. Seniority has been a serious problem in companies for a while and is only getting worse. Old, crusty individuals who can't even use modern peripherals, still hold on to thier dusty desks, utterly unwilling to hand the torch to the next generation.
