All seem to suppor teach other, protein collapse could easily disrupt homeostasis, which could lead to mismetallation, which would lead to protein collapse.
It seems other types of damage (such as telomere shortening) can be fixed, so it must be one of those three. It could take stopping only one of them from occuring and aging could stop.
