Gallian is entry-level for highschoolers and undergrads, maybe applied or transitioning (he-he) mathematicians/programmers or beginner self-learners. D&F have some entry graduate-level info like basics of homological algebra and is aimed more at pure mathematicians (and yet D&F still skips a lot of important stuff).
Same with calculus - if you are not a pure mathematician, just save yourself some time and grab something like Stewart, and only then move on to analysis. If you are a pure mathematician, then there is no such thing as calculus and you can grab whatever because it will probably still not cover essential topics like de Rham cohomology.
My personal favourite for calculus is Hubbard/Hubbard.
