1.) High GPA (3.7+)
2.) Heavy AP course load
3.) 2000+ SAT
4.) 30+ ACT
The above are the bare minimun, and here are extras that give you a competetive edge (which is absolutely necessary)
1.) Related to donors
2.) You are a legacy
3.) Won competitions at a national level
4.) From an ivy league feeder school
5.) Reccomendation from a highly regarded person in academia/politics/business that funds the school
6.) Exemplary social media presence.
The schools don't give a fuck if you're smart, they want to see what you bring to the table that others can't, and choose those people first, and the rest are chosen from legacies or people related to donors, and then they probably just choose the best on a cumulative ranking.
