Hey /sci/, looking for advice.
I graduated with a BS in microbiology a year ago and now I’m working at a pharma lab. I wanna go to grad school eventually and get an MS or maybe even a PhD in virology. I can’t afford grad school rn though and maybe I never will.
So is there any value to trying to teach myself more from textbooks and reading papers from journals like PLoS? Is a $130 virology textbook worth the money if I’m not in a class where a professor and peers can help guide me through it? Is there anyone in grad school rn that can give me advice on teaching myself? Thanks.
