>>11697681He probably still thinks it's the chinese zodiac year of the lisp.
Maybe the coronavirus spread because he started biting people and squeaking after being told it was in fact, the year of the rat.
And maybe Zizek is just Richard Stallman after taking the serum made by Hyde/Jekyll. Wasn't it supposed to be an opiate of some sort in that story, anyway? He sniffles like a heroin user, so it'd certainly fit.
>>11697290>jokes asideJokes aside, then, I still use my own brick phone, because it's quick and reliable, like many single purpose tools. Before the boom in luxury phone users, I wouldn't have entertained the possibility that I'd see older people using devices with the power of passable personal computers. It wasn't just outlandish, it was borderline insane to expect that kind of progress that soon - but brick phone using old people seem to be the exception now.
So, while I wouldn't be so quick to rule it out, I think it's difficult to say whether most people will adopt neuralink. I think people will be squeamish about putting things in their skull for the rest of our lifetimes, unless something unaccountable happens, like the iphone, which I think you agree with when you say "given good enough propositiion." A greater desire than the fear of becoming a cabbage because someone forced a scart lead into the back of your head, and I don't see that happening quickly. It doesn't sound like Musk or the company really have a direction, they're constantly testing "things" and keeping shtum about as much as they can so they get investors.
