This is just a really weak and biased interpretation of a phenomenon that's new and poorly understood. This is what happens when popsci meets theoretical physicists and they start running out of funds.

Again, this is just about money, there is zero solid science behind these stupid overhyped claims.

So i googled the names and the experiment and of course the experiment was done a couple of years earlier and the original findings and articles were much down to earth, without this outlandish interpretation for another dimension - seems to click baity

They’re giving an outlandish interpretation to get funds to figure out what’s actually going on and as part of the general strategy for keeping the public interested enough in science for general funding of nasa etc to continue. It’s sadly how a lot of science runs, for most it’s just advertising but in psychology and nutrition things are made up and data is manipulated by industries, lobbies, and individuals.
