>>11693442whatever you need to do to get back in, keep at it. i don't know what that is. i am guessing you will graduate in 2023 or 2024 at this rate.
you're a freshman now. DS&A is a first year level class and you have to take it. consider yourself a first year.
by the time you re-enter college:
you should be reasonably far into freecodecamp and have a nice project under your belt for resume reasons
right before your first year semester starts
i. Did I mention? GET THE FUCK OUT OF COMP E. IT'S MURDERING YOUR GPA AND IT'S NOT WORTH IT
ii. Your data structures and algos class is probably THE MOST IMPORTANT CLASS YOU'LL TAKE THIS SEMESTER. If you can't tell me how a stack, a queue, or mergesort works, I'm going to mentally throw your resume in the trash and reject you on the spot. got it? Get an A in it or you can say goodbye to even thinking about FAANG
1. GET YOUR RESUME REVIEWED BY SOMEONE. THERE IS A 100% CHANCE THAT ANYTHING YOU COULD WRITE AS A RESUME IS WORTHLESS FECES SO YOU SHOULD SEE OTHER PEOPLES RESUMES THAT ACTUALLY WORK AND MODEL YOURS AFTER THEIRS
this isn't an exaggeration
I suggest going to r*ddit r/cscareerquestions and posting an anonymous version of it with details removed on their weekly resume threads
2. APPLY TO SUMMER INTERNSHIPS NONSTOP. GO TO YOUR UNI CAREER FAIRS IF THEY HAVE ANY. APPLY THERE. APPLY ONLINE. APPLY TO EVERY GODFORSAKEN COMPANY YOU CAN.
You likely aren't going to be ready for FAANG interviews yet, since you literally can't do DS&A, but that comes next year.
If you were on top of your FCC shit there's a good chance (not guaranteed, given covid and track record and job hunt being a shitty process) you can get some internship if you keep applying nonstop.

>>11693501it isn't an absolute but it is probably the path of least resistance. anon seems to be struggling a lot with the CE curriculum
in the end it doesn't matter, my team is full of EE and CE alongside CS and non-degree holders
