I can believe there are some short term benefits but it seems like the long term consequences are a bit more well studied.
I mean sometimes when I'm really tired I feel like I get a weird surge of energy but I can't imagine being sleep deprived is good for me

anything that messes your brain up enough that you might get confused about something you know by heart and accidentally look at it in a new way will boost creativity. If you really "know" something you lose the ability to create with it.
