Knight's Physics for Scientists and Engineers. I used to tutor in uni, and this was the best ugrad book out of all of them (and the one I used)

Classical Mechanics:
start with youtube or an online course
afterwards, Goldstein

Electromagnetism (and electrodynamics):
start with Griffiths
progress to Jackson

Thermodynamics/Statistical Mechanics
start with Schroeder
progress to Reif

Waves:
honestly, study fourier analysis from any good source, but there was a retard level book from French

Quantum Mechanics:
Cohen

Relativity:
Start with Schutz

Landau's books are incredibly if you are pain tolerant

pic related got me into physics as a kid. it has basically zero math in it and i bet most of the actual info in it is outdated/wrong but it got me interesting in thinking about how the universe works and adopting a problem-solving mindset

Modern Physics by Tipler and Llewellyn. Even if you skip the math parts, the historical narrative of the birth of modern physics is well told in this book.

honestly for each category as long as you have 2 books of relatively similar difficulty you'll be fine. you need a separate source just in case you really don't vibe with the first
