Has anyone heard of this star system? I bring it up because I think it’s quite interesting and was wondering what people think of it.
The star is an ultra cool red dwarf which means it would be one of the longest lasting stars in the universe with a lifespan going into the trillions of years.
It has 7 earth sized planets that we know of and 3 are within the habitable zone and Trappist e may have a very good chance of liquid water.
This system is only 39 light years away which honestly isn’t that far even for sub light speed craft, if we somehow got to half the speed of life we could get there in just a single lifetime.
The James Webb telescope has it as one of it’s first targets to look at when it finally gets up next year so we can have a proper look at the place.
Thoughts?
