So if we now have neurology why do we still have psychology?
Psychology just seems like homo-sapien behavioral statistics, and less of a hard science.

Because they aren't the same things.
Alchemy was a precursor of chemistry from a time when we didn't know what the real elements were so what you're trying to say works for that.
Astrology is not a precursor of astronomy, they don't do the same thing, astronomy and astrology existed at the same time and still exist.
Psychology, psychiatry and neurology are also different things but unlike astrology we know that psychology isn't nonsense because we can amongst other things mesure its results with the tools of neurology.

Psychoanalysis and psychology would be closer to your alchemy/chemistry example but still not perfect since we know even psychoanalysis isn't entirely bullshit.
