Can a bio or chemfag here with knowledge of human nervous system and psychedelics help me with something?
I intend to trip on 4g of dried P.Cubensis shroomies combined with a decently big dose of NAC. Are any of you aware of known interactions between the two or know anything about how the chemicals are processed in the body that might have a negative effect? So far from my amateur research it seems like this combo could be quite healing. pic unrelated.

Can you explain the idea behind the Synergy?
Never heard of that or Googled it.
Have used nac pre substance for protective quality, or well after for detox. Also as a mild ocd treatment

Interested in hearing the theory behind the Synergy here

Yeah but it takes a lot for me to feel anything from mushrooms. My gfs described experience at 1g dried matched my experience at 3g. By the reports of other people as well it seems that the effective dose for me is 1:3 ratio. The mushrooms weren't weak either because we all took from the same batch. At 1g I just felt the anxious come up effect and that was it. 3g was a proper introductory trip.

I have mild OCD which appears periodically. NAC is neuroprotective and neuroregenerative especially for the dopamine system. It helps with lowering ticks and addictions. Likely through bringing down the inflammation in the brain. I suspect I have an asymptomatic sinus infection right between the eyebrows. Most likely caused by prolonged mold exposure. Inflammation tends to affect neighbouring tissues too. Orbitofrontal cortex, a key brain region which is very often dysfunctional in those with OCD, is right behind the sinuses around the eyebrow region. On days in which I feel sinus pressure there, my OCD, addictions and brain fog are all more intense. Psilocybin supposedly elevates BDNF and quickly creates new connections in the brain due to its effect on the brain of forcing it to use rarely used neural pathways. I am hoping that if I can take both at the same time, I will be able to THINK myself some new neural pathways which are functional. Lowered inflammation and increased neuroregeneration should help with that. Thats my theory.

it might share the same effect with alcohol ie. its byproducts are broken down into MAOIs which may amplify the effects of psilocin
