No, no. You got it all wrong. Step aside.
1=1
1+1=1+1
Since 1(1)=1 and 2(1)=2 by defn, then 1+1=2
So 1+1=2(+2-2)
and 1+1+1+1=2(+2-2)+2
Which is eq. to saying 1+1+1+1=(1+1)+(1+1)=2+2
Following the logic, we see that 2+2=4
