Worse than that- logic and evidence themselves wane in value because of the miasma of lies.
There are a lot of very clever people out there who only see logic as a game to play to get their way. They can talk you into a knot and leave you looking like a demented imbecile- while proclaiming the sky to be green. Science communication became a trade of liars.
