>>11678517I know that this is probably bait but I will bite. 99% of people who pick physics , pick physics becasue they enjoy physics , not because its useful or because it has applications. they same goes with math , philosophy etc . People pick those subjects because they enjoy them. Learning those subjects causes pleasure. Its that simple, the same goes with most of humanities. A lot of applied mathematicians like to pride themselves and babble about how they are usefull , but being useful was never their main goal, rather an accidential byproduct of what they were studying.
