I get why he promotes it so much, likely because of all those history courses he took at harvard (no joke he took every course they had before they tossed him out) and he realized that history repeats itself, right now we're allowed to have our own independent devices/computers but that's not going to last, soon it will be fully controlled, then communications are all controlled, then learning/literacy is all controlled, you can see where this is going and so does Stallman.
