The purpose of circumcision is to cause a splitting off the core self which cannot be ordinarily reconciled due to it being a form of preverbal trauma. The core alters are essentially "mute", because the split occurred pre-language. I've been unable to find the quote, but I was reading some Jewish book a long time ago and it stated "You shall be commanded, and you will return to that first cut. And you will obey." My intuitive sense was that it makes men more (passive) aggressive, yet also more readily subservient to authority. The glans not being covered exerts a psychological effect of constant low level irritation and unease, even without the influence of stretch receptors. Normally the foreskin being stretched or otherwise retracted signals the beginning of the sexual state. The glans being covered again signals the end of the sexual state. Without both components the individual cannot return to a rest state which is truly non-sexual. And if the mind is aroused yet not aroused, it finds its outlet and manifests as aggression.
