I did it to become a scientist with the capability to actually turn something into a marketable product. My colleagues in the natural sciences are smarter than I am, but I think I solve problems quicker because of my engineering background.

All people that I've met on my grade (mechanical engeneering) are here because of the same reason. Because we like cars and thought "if mechanics work on cars, then mechanical engeneering is related to cars, and I could get a deeper understanding of how cars work than if I just went to trade school", and then we find out that this wasn't that much related to cars and just go through the grade so we can get to the master on automotive engeneering, in hopes that it will be more car-related
