>>11673224Yes. Like others pointed out, you're supposed to go to your lectures -and- read the text. When the class is arranged properly, they work together.
With that said, I also had a few professors who basically ignored the textbook they listed for the class, and gave disorganized lectures where they just seemed to toss random things onto the board. That happened in combinatorics, but I still managed to get some value out of them. When it happened in abstract algebra, though, it basically turned the class into a vague review session for the one person who already knew all the material.
If -all- of your lectures seem to be useless, you're probably at least part of the problem yourself.
