What to study for eternal life?

If I want to discover the secret to eternal life what field of study should I enter? Biology?

I am going to transfer universities next semester and I'm thinking of doing a CS/Math double degree since I'm already in CS right now. Could I pivot to Theoretical Biology after I finish my bachelor? Would CS be helpful at all in that field?

I mean the trickiest issue is the fact that we don't really have a comprehensive theory for why aging happens. There are known contributors, but we don't have the entire model nailed down.

Even if we did concretely understand aging, it wouldn't mean we have the tools to fix it. We understand exactly why Huntington's Disease and Cystic Fibrosis happen, but they're still incurable, fatal diseases.

Fair, in that case here's an excerpt from an email I got from Michael Rae (co-author of Undoing Aging) when I asked SENS about Aus opportunities.

I would think molecular biology, biomedical, biochemistry, immunology, more or less anything biology, medical, chemistry etc. There's a lot of transferrable skills between these areas so I wouldn't be too worried about what you're doing at the bachelor level, bachelor studies are just a foundation. Even something like CS/maths could have applications in one of those postgrad labs, I'd just try to make sure you take electives which are most relevant if possible. And if you have the chance to do some labwork go for it.

Aging itself seems imposdible. Aging is one of those things that seem obvious when you know nothing about them, but get more and more mysterious the deeper you get.
Obviously, it's just accumulating damage. The body grows old the same way things wear off.
Yet that is not the case, the body is being constantly repaired. You wouldn't live lonv if the repair stopped.
Well, I suppose there are things thd body can't repair, and the damage eventually accumulates. Yet, the body does have mechanisms to repair all the damage. It just stops doing that.
Why?

I’d recommend looking into things like extracorporeal membrane oxygen and dialysis since receiving oxygenated clean blood with nutrients is almost all a brain needs to survive. Next I would look into preventing neurological degrees and curing Alzheimer’s and eventually dealing with brain tumors. T.L.D.R. -> become a brain in a jar (not really but that’s the ideological gist)

Look into the Hallmarks of Aging and the Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence (SENS). Two mostly overlapping lists of why aging occurs and what you need to treat to stop it.
Don't trust someone who can barely type out a coherent sentence to tell you what gerontologists know about ageing.

They had some scholarships/fellowships and summer programs on their site. I think they updated the site since I last viewed it so you'd have to find them yourself. Assuming they're still going with the pandemic anyway.

now you have to transfer all the information along with the order its written in that would require a machine-brain interface.
