I'm writing something and need to know if the premise is stupid.
Could a Satellite project a hologram onto earth's surface from orbit?

I think it is possible but it could be limited by weather (cloud obstruction) in good weather a laser hologram I guess could be possible specially at night otherwise you'll need a lot of power to overcome the intensity of sunlight (it would be too faint to the eye)

no, you need the hologram to be on the surface you cant 'project' it to places
