How smart is the smartest person with Down's Syndrome? At least average right? Maybe even a bit above average?

Had a guy in one of my freshman college classes that looked like he said Down syndrome. But talked pretty normal. He was maybe a little under average but no idea if he was actual downs

I'm in one of the best unis in the world for maths and there is a guy who looks like he has Down's. Never bothered talking to him though (not just because he looks like he has Down's).

I'll pass. I was in my nations military so I don't think they would have let me in if I truly had downs. Pretty rigorous physicals. That's basically as good of proof as I can muster.

Down's Syndrome is a spectrum similar to autism. The mildest version of Down's Syndrome, called mosaicism, manifests in only a couple barely-recognizable phenotypic effects. Mental faculties are not affected.
