The universe is a quantum computer. This must be the case or else you do not subscribe to any model of particle physics. Other models are beyond the scope of this discussion.

Any physics must be ubiquitous to quality as a true mode of physics. The default operation of a quantum circuit is necessarily to compute particle interactions, or we would live in a different type of reality altogether. All notion of a parsimonious theory should indicate exactly this, since additional function would imply that some effect, either macroscopically measured or microtheoretically predicted, would be observable. For this reason, any rational scientist should come to the same conclusion in regard to this field.


The only valid use of quantum computing is to generate virtual matter.
