Are there any scientific explanations of the profound effects of DMT on one's perception of reality? I am talking about commonly reported effects such as claims of seeing hyperdimensional geometry or experiencing telepathy with "mathematical beings".

Is it even possible to intimately connect a subjective psychedelic experience with the pharmacology of the chemical? Are we truly that far off from relating such unique profound sensory experiences with the chemistry? Are there good books discussing this problem from a rational, science-grounded point of view? Will someone please put more dicks in my mouth?
