The brain cannot forget the limb that just disappeared and the fact that the body map was messed up shall cause the brain to go into haywire and literally cause great pain to the person, despite not even being injured to start with.
If you took only your brain, spine, and central nervous system out and placed it into a jar, you're as good as dead, mate. The brain would absolutely loathe the idea of being placed outside of the body because all of your 21 senses are missing.
Cannot tell the time and date because no sense of gut bacteria and temperature
Cannot tell the gravity
No sense of balance because the ear fluids are gone
And so much more
I really know what would happen but pretty sure that the brain would end up eating itself in a sense. The brain needs stimulus in order to keep itself sane. People who were placed for extended periods of time can risk going insane
