>>11659581Don't look up the solution, but here's what tips I have for you with regard to solving it with your intuition.
1. Don't think about each sticker. Think about pieces. You can't just put any white piece in any spot, a specific one goes in each specific spot. You can use the center pieces to tell you where all the other pieces are supposed to go, cause the center pieces don't really move.
2. Try out some simple sequences. For example, try "commutators," which is when you do 2 moves and then reverse them in the same order. Like turning the front one way, then turning the top one way, then turning the front back and then the top back.
Moves like this where you do things and undo them keep a lot of things in place and only change a few pieces. So you can keep the work you've done in place and focus on solving small parts of the puzzle at a time.
3. You can solve the whole puzzle with simple commutator moves like these, but it's hard to do. It will take a long time to get used to orienting yourself with all the pieces and where they should go. But this is a surefire way to solve the cube without algorithms, but with your own moves and ideas. Don't take it from me! Come up with some simple patterns on your own which keep a lot of pieces in place at the end, and move just a few around.
