>>11658411>>11658543OP, I have had the same problem. I like you recognized that porn was the problem, not masturbation.
There are two things I did that almost completely "reset" my addiction and have allowed me to function at a normal level without experiencing the adverse effects of porn.
1. I had to live without A COMPUTER (or smartphone) at all for six months
2. Once I did start using a computer again, I removed any internet capabilities from it, I literally damaged the usb ports and component under the keyboard that allows you to connect a wireless card to the laptop
3. I only allowed myself to use internet after making a list of things I *needed* to look up, and then would go to the library to look those things up, and then would LEAVE once I was done (no browsing, just research)
The biggest and most helpful step was just not having a computer or smartphone for six months. This was necessary because I learned how to live without a computer or smartphone and was able to prove to myself I could survive without it.
I now use a laptop with an internet connection, BUT, i have ALL the images turned off because I noticed that images were triggering 90+% of my porn use, especially on pol and other nsfw boards. Without images there was almost no temptation to look at porn *when I was trying not to look at it*. What's nice is that when you turn off images, you are also focused more on READING and therefore thinking more rationally about whatever it is you're looking at- instead of responding emotionally to an image.
